So after much research I have narrowed it down to either Eset SS or KIS. Which one is there better?

I think KIS is the much preferred / popular choice.... (I use NIS though!)

KIS can usually be found for a much cheaper price than ESET. Either on sale through a retail outlet or online coupon codes. But either way you can't go wrong with whichever app you choose. I have been using KIS for over a year now on 5 computers without issue.

And for the record, I've been reading/hearing good things about Norton's IS09. It too has been on sale in my neck of the woods for about $20~$30 retail/ 3 licenses. But I'd still stick with KIS. ;)

They have around the same detection rate. But Eset is way faster and lighter. And if you want the whole security suite, maybe you want to check ZoneAlarm Suite as it uses the same engine as Kaspersky but also have the best Firewall aka Zone Alarm Firewall.

I have the Eset Security Suite and have no complaints. I want a program that is light on resources but heavy on effectiveness. This one does it for me. :)

Both is good me think. I've used ESET Smart Security then moved to KIS. I can't decide which one is better, but I do stay with KIS and have no problem with it.

tested out KIS didn't like it caused some system hangups, so now i'm using eset SS and everything is running great so far.
