This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    how do i stop the 2010 version of this program from running the rootkit scan automatically?

    The automatic rootkit scan which starts some 30 minutes after booting up your notebook cannot be disabled.
    This issue is discussed in this Kaspersky forum thread.
    You can also find information there on how to disable the automatic rootkit scan if you start a quick- or full scan yourself, if that is what you mean.
