    Hi all,

I just got my Alienware M9750, and it came with Kaspersky already installed, I heard good things about it so thought I would use it.
I am working away on business at the moment, and when the Kaspersky is running, alot of web pages will not load, when I turn it off, they all work fine.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to make it run properly, I have tried tweaking the settings but nothing happens.

    Help would be great.

    Cheers

You may have settings too high for the pages which won't load. I use "Recommended." If you're already set there, search through the other various "Settings" possibilities. I don't think you're problem is serious.

Got me, then, Waddy, unless you've got an older version of Kaspersky. IIRC, the program was, for a while, incompatible with Vista. Can't imagine AW shipping a new machine with that problem, though. Sorry I'm not more helpful.

So you've got the Security Suit; with the firewall? Or just the Anti Virus package? It sounds like a firewall is blocking the internet connection.

I've been using the Anti Virus trial for that past few days on my new laptop, along with the Windows Vista firewall and the hardware firewall on my router. No problems at all, I am going purchase a product key when the trial is nearly finished.

OK, basically see if you have the latest version, which is supposed to be the 7.0.0.125. If not install this one. You're key is valid.

Dude, I would recommend you to not use Kaspersky if possible.....

My dads vaio had it and Kaspersky slows down even fast laptops.

It slows down your computer so much that u cant do any major work on it.

P.S: This is my experience with Kaspersky and although it is better than norton in detecting virus but it slows down computer more than any other.
