also have another question whe you check your computers security status in the control panel mine used to be all green saying mcafee and windows fire wall are protecting your computer and for malware protection it said windows defender and mcafee virus scanner are turned on and protecting your computer. Now ever since I downloaded Kaspersky it only says windows firewal is protecting your computer it does not say Kaspersky at all. Now my malware protection in yellow saying "Kaspersky is turned on but reporting to windows security center in a format that is no longer supported update your ati-virus software" I have updated Kaspersky with all available updates any ideas lol? Cause im very confused.

Wow! Sounds like you need to format and reinstall your Windows mate! Looks like you may have fallen for phishing sites when you download those programs and now they are virus programs not the real thing! Good luck!

Halo360Fan, did you download itunes from the apple website? if so then its probably just a false positive. i would run either Malwarebytes or Superantispyware just to be safe. both apps are free of course and can be found in the sticky at the top of this forum.

my guess is that the security center doesn't recognize the AV. on my old hp it never recognized the free AV i had on it.

Halo360Fan, there is no need for a fresh install because of such a message.
This is a known problem with KAV2009 and KIS2009.
You only need to install the most recent version(s); KAV2010 or KIS2010, as explained here or install Vista SP2 if you haven't installed that yet.
You can use the key/code which you received for your current license.
See the Kaspersky forum thread here which discusses the warning you've seen.

    Cheers.
