    Hello,

Yesterday I finally had time to update my mother's computer. I opened up the Malwarebytes program with no issues. I clicked on the update button and it started to download as usual. Apparently the program version was out of date so it gave me the ususal The program will now close and install the latest version message.

Well, this is where the problem started. The program closed, but nothing installed. When I went to start up Malwarebytes again, nothing happened. I went online and downloaded the latest version, but again nothing happened when I tried to open the program. So I started the task manager. When I click on the Malwarebytes icon, it shows up in the task manager for a split second and then disappears. I then uninstalled Malwarebytes, deleted Prefetch and Temps, ran CCleaner, restarted the computer, and reinstalled Malwarebytes. Still, when I try to open the program nothing happens.

A full scan of SuperAntiSpyware shows nothing, a boot scan of Avast Free shows nothing, and a regular full scan of Avast Free shows nothing. What could be the issue?
