This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     is this "Ad-Aware" web companion pro from Microsoft? plz see screen capture

    Or is it just another adware??

    Because I am sure I didn't install this [​IMG]

    It appears to be legitimate software after doing a quick Google search. Did you install any other software recently? Sometimes crap like that is included and you have to uncheck a box.

    If you did a express or just installed without doing custom install then the user most likely installed this software and it isn't a Microsoft product just look at the name "by" lavasoft that isn't Microsoft as anyone can see by the screen shot.

    This is why you run ad-blockers, script-blockers, etc. on your browser and be careful when you go through the steps in a software installer. ;)
