    Hey

I am running a network, and on my PC that is the main source I have NOD32, with windows firewall.

Would you say I need the same on my wireless laptop, or would the normal firewall do?

I have seen the free security programs, but I thought if the normal firwall will do then why blog down my laptop eh.

    Thanks

I use MSFT Firewall. I think it's sufficient enough.

If you use Vista then yeah, it will probably be sufficient, but I wouldn't say so in XP.

Along with good web-surfing habits and a solid antivirus (Avira), XP and Vista firewall were both good to me.

If you're on a more public network, such as a university or something, you might want to invest in something a bit better... Although it's probably not needed. The commercial firewall I used awhile ago, Kerio, was a major resource hog. Since then I've been using XP's firewall without any issues at school. I guess it's just a matter of luck.

As long as you don't click on popups, you are ok. I've been using XP firewall for over 3 years now on my desktop and it is clean as a whistle.
