This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I need some help.

    Every time i click on a link online to veiw a page it takes me to somthing totally different and i have to right click and open in a new page, but it will do it again. then i can close that link out and right click again, then it will take me were i trying to go. i think i have some kind of virus or somthing.

    Possibly a virus, I'd say more along the lines of spyware. Scan with Avira(virus scan) and Adaware(spyware scan) to remove anything, then post back.

    i got some kind of program called avg for virus protection.

    Not meant to be offensive, but do you know how to fully use AVG?
    Make sure it's up-to-date before running a full scan.
    You could also run both SUPERAntispyware and Malwarebytes'Antimalware.
    They are excellent free antispyware programs.
    In my signature link you can also find links to online antivirus scanners from ESET and Kaspersky.
