So Eset Smart Security starts complaining at every boot (and only boot) about:
    C:\Windows\system32\io.dll

But if i tell it to delete it (only option is delete or ignore) nothing happens.

And on that note i checked google with no info on "io.dll" and it's not actually in the folder... as in i can't find that file on my disk any where.

Any one have a clue what's up?

EDIT: there is also this smgr34.exe file in my startup folder. I disabled that and i can't delete it. Eset did not even see that during my scan. I'm gona boot to Linux and see if i can get rid of it i guess.

Submit the suspicious files to VirusTotal to check whether it may be a false positive.

Make sure to tell Explorer to show hidden and system files (in Folder Options I think).

If you know how to remove the possible trojan files from linux that's ok but why not give MBAM and/or SAS a run also?

Personally I would reformat. It is a pain but I don't sleep well at night thinking I might have some sneaky virus hiding in my machine, especially if I use it for sensitive transactions. This is what I did for a friend recently when they had a virus. Theirs were categorized as low risk level, but I still didn't feel good about it so I reformatted.

I don't think there is a 64 bit version. At least there wasn't the last time I checked and thats' why i went for SuperAntimalware.

It works just fine on 64-bit, just does not have active protection.

Thats strange, I remember the installer saying I couldn't install it on a 64 bit OS. This was 6 months ago, so maybe they cam out with a new version?
