if i had mcafee on one computer and that computer went bad, will i have a problem installing that same mcaafee on another computer, what do i do

Anyway:
If you have more than one license, and at least one left, you can instal McAffee on another computer without any problems.
If your version of MacAffee shipped with your computer is an OEM version (original equipment manufacturer) then you cannot do this as it is tied to the hardware.
If it is a retail version, check your EULA, unless its explicitely forbidden, you should be able to migrate a license by unistalling it on the original machine and installing it on another one.
I am not sure however how this legally works out if the old version remainss on an HDD that is non-functional.
Please note that MacAffee is known to use a lot of resources.
My personal recommendation is Kaspersky - I use it.
People generally also praise Nod32 and Norton 2009 Corporate Edition - Norton has been a resouce hog in the past.
The preferred free anti virus is Avira.
