Comodo has upgraded the Firewall to 3.5 and added an anti-virus for what I think is the industries first free suite.

I'm still running the firewall only with D+ and updated earlier. For me to add the AV I can do it through add/remove rather than reinstalling.

If you're new to Comodo you can download from the Comodo site and install either component and the firewall with or without D+

I've been happy with Avira but will probably add the AV component soon.

Yeah, I saw that. Have you searched for cfp.exe and cmdagent.exe?

Hiker, you know that heuristics will only be added in 2009 and that their signature database is still relatively small?
    Cheers.

No, but thanks for letting me know. I did see some where GB's of malware samples were submitted to Comodo in a short period of time.

Anyway, my system's running fine now and I do like Avira, so I'm in no hurry to add CAV.

Same with me... What actually happened? Shouldn't it supposed to just install the updates?

I'm giving this a shot to see if I still prefer Online Armor over Comodo or not. So far, so good. Though it looks like my router is messing up since the speed is randomly dropping without other things using up the wireless.

Can't help you there, I've never had connection problems other than the ISP or modem. I used to think it was the firewall but it didn't make sense and turned out to be the former.

Comodo has a pretty good help section. Now the firewall help also includes CIS. It's worth reading.

Best bet when you start is to keep D+ in clean PC mode and tend to pending files. I'll purge, look up, submit and remove if I know the program. Open each program and run them for a bit, setting your rules accordingly. Stay away from isolated or limited until you know what you're doing or can run into serious problems especially if you isolate explorer.exe. after a bit bump it to safe mode.
