Every one of the people I tweaked their laptop for have bought a license.

See how low of a performance impact it has:

Buy only the NOD32 not the Internet Security, that's bloated.

NOD32 has a file scanner, and HTTP scanner to prevent/block any malicious connections, that's all you need. IT's the only AV that allows you to reinstall as many times on the same laptop and has 0 bloatware, no system optimizers, not software updaters, nothing

If you go for a 2 year license you get a discount

Here is a special deal but only for people in the USA:

    ESET NOD32 Antivirus 2017 - 3 PCs
    $24.99
    Promo code : EMCRFBG64
    Expires 5/22/17
    https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832114120

I recommend you buy it directly from ESET and be done with it. you are buying your performance and protection, it also protects against all ransomware with it behavioural detection

Maybe Microsoft has highest impact because it actually scans lol jk

Surprised Norton is not on there, as long as you don't have Norton you're good in my books.

I still use Microsoft defender, never had any performance problems :D but Nod32 used to be my favorite.

That's the worst thing in the world, I won't even call it an AV because it doesn't deserve to be called one!

    1) They do not participate in AV-TESTS or AV-Comparative testing. Why? because they know they will fail miserably!

    2) It is the king of false positives, basically what it does, is when you install it, it flags many things as unsafe and puts them in hold mode or monitoring mode, then you'd have to contact their support to whitelist their files. so they simply black list everything, until you ask for stuff to be whitelisted! Very smart......NOT

    3) You have to install its Webfilter, bringing you even more false positives and preventing you from accessing legit sites.

    4) With all that said, I had it installed on a friend's computer 2 years back, he called me a week later complaining that his computer is acting up. So I ran MBAM and we discover a few viruses.

    5) Its uninstaller doesn't work, neither does its removal tool . You uninstall it, reboot, then it comes back!

Webroot IS a virus! or Webfruit shall I say
