after going to the Avira AntiVir Personal 9 (linked from this site) and disabling my pop-up blocker I see it downloading to a temp file. Then when finished nothing else happens so as to make it run. I can DL it again and the same "nothing" happens after going into a temp file.
What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks

Assuming you're downloading the correct Avira exe installer file, it is not going to automatically do anything when the download is complete. You have to find the downloaded file in whatever folder you use for your downloads (it sounds like you use the temp folder) and then open and run the installer file in order to install Avira on your computer.
