I get that message whenever I use IE or Windows Explorer.

I ran Spybot Search and Destroy and it removed 10 entries. I immunized after that but that message is still there and the problem remains unfixed. I'm running Avira AntiVir right now to see if it'll pick up anything. I even ran ccleaner and did a registry fix if that counts for anything.

Any ideas on how to remove this?

Im gonna take a guess and say that link takes to you to a website to download/buy software? Also, can you open task manager?

You can do a fresh install, or use System restore all the way back till you didn't have viruses.

LOL... Does it tend to appear on certain sites and not others. And not, for example, Google or notebookreview? It looks like an advertisement which is unfortunately disguised as an error message. Most real Windows error messages don't start with "Attention, (name)".

I was thinking it was one of those things that infect your computer, turn off your task manager, and keep running an error message with a link to the owners site for you to buy their software to remove their bug.

I'd ditch Spybot. Stick with Malwarebytes and throw in SuperAntiSpyware as well.

It looks way bogus. Use Firefox with Adblock Plus and you won't get stuff like that.

I'm consulting my internal spam detection device (ISDD)....

....I'm getting a NO on this one. I'm afraid it's not legit. ;) :D

Nice photo-editing job, though. You even made sure the actual filename wasn't a giveaway! Slick. :p
