I realize that Comodo Firewall Pro is obviously better than Vista built in Firewall in the security and features aspects, but I'm wondering which uses more system resources. Detailed answers appreciated, thanks.

My Comodo Firewall is using less than 5MB memory; it's worth it.

I have heard some very good arguments from security professionals that the Vista built in firewall in Business and Ultimate is top notch as long as you know what you are doing (it has some sort of manual ability that other firewalls lack). But for most people that do not know how to set it I'd say the Comodo Firewall might be better.

Where a replacement firewall can improve upon the built-in Windows firewall is in configuring outgoing connection rules. It is not impossible to do them in Windows firewall, just not very user-friendly.
