Anyone uses Comodo Internet security? I'xm curious how is it's antivirus. It's never in AV comparatives, so I assume it must be really bad... But who knows?

Comodo anything is overly complicated and not consumer friendly IMO.

Comodo AV still has a long way to go, to get anywhere near its competitors. It does have a pretty decent detection rate but has a lot of false positives.

Not true, in my opinion. Comodo firewall with D+ is very user friendly. And how is it complicated? If your talking about D+ alerts, thats common with all classical HIPS app's.

Yeah it's decent, but it's not exactly up there with the rest of the competition yet. Mind you, for basic use it's fine(assuming you don't do anything overly dumb nor go to the dark corners of the internet) but you can get something better too.

Have you ever used any Comodo product before? While I haven't tried the AV, the firewall is great and very easy to use.

I have used it and unistalled it. Too complicated. It's asking for access to other exe files. BTW, its like living in home with a high priced alarm patroled by private security which is great and comforting. But, one has to ask for a key to use the restroom (going in and out). To get a beer out of the fridge I need permission to open the door and also persmission to close it. Best way I can explain it. lol.

Personally the AV is kinda clunky and even more intrusive than the Firewall, but the Firewall itself is good. Lots of people just disable the Defense+ if they find it annoying.

Defense+(the thing that brings up probably the majority of the popups of the firewall) is a feature which can be disabled on the Comodo Firewall so that it basically doesn't require your permission for every single little thing.

Defense+ is something where each user will find varying levels of usefulness. When I got Comodo, it was ridiculous even on Clean PC mode (and sometimes even training). Now, I have it on Paranoid, and it really only whines on installs (for which I switch to installation mode anyways).

I was using the AV for a few weeks, and then it suddenly starte to eat up close to 100% of my CPU. Had to boot into safe mode to uninstall it.

    The firewall is awesome, though.
