    Hi...
im using a new sony Vaio SZ laptop, with a built in cam..i bought it downgraded to XP. ok, so here's my problem. whenever i use my cam in MSN in a video call, my cam freezes. not the entire MSN. my partners cam works fine, the whole program runs fine, but my image freezes. i talked to sony, and the store i bought it from, and researched on msn too. nothing worked. now the store tells me that they tried it on an identical machine and it works fine, and its a problem with my firewall..how do i configure comodo pro to unblock my WEBCAM? i read something about allowing the proper port for my webcam as port 80 might be blocked or somethign..please let me know!

EDIT: sorry, i meant unblock my webcam, not my firewall lol

Try opening D+ and firewall (advanced), click security policies and treat webcam and software as trusted. You could also try using the port wizard.

If you're clueless you should really read the entire help section found by clicking on the icon, click misc., click help. Improper settings could really mess up your computer. Also, the folks on the Comodo forum are real helpful.

ok thanks a lot... but im having my doubts if comodo is the actual problem...
i took a bit of a risk and closed my firewall, rebooted without it, and with windows firewall disabled...and the cam still froze after around 7min... probably not the firewall then, right? or could installing drivers with the firewall on be a problem?

No, installing drivers with the firewall on shouldn't be a problem, just select "installer" when D+ gives you a pop-up. You could try disabling D+ to see if that makes a difference. Go over the help page and familiarize yourself with CFP.

Sorry, I'm not very familiar with webcams to help. I'd contact Sony
