    COMODO Internet Security 3.5.53896.424 Released

Anyone tried this yet? I don't trust the antivirus component until I see some antivirus tests run on it. A free internet security package [Comodo firewall + Comodo Defence+(HIPS) + Comodo antivrus] sounds good.

Comodo Internet Security still lacks a normal (big enough) database of virus signatures.

If you read this thread on the Comodo forum, you can see that Comodo's CEO Melih Abdulhayoglu is trying to bully Andreas Clementi from AV-Comparatives into giving their whole virus/malware sample set to them for free.
A rather childish/immature/astonishing behaviour for a CEO of such a company.
There seem to be quite some zealots preaching on the Comodo forum.

Comodo Internet Security does not have any heuristics yet, it will only be implemented in 2009, and they have a rather small virus signature database.
They don't seem to have cont(r)acts with other AV companies to build a database, but they are collecting them theirselves and asking beta-testers to send them in.
I wouldn't trust CIS fully, regarding the state of it's AV part and it will be some time before they get tested by respected companies like AV-Comparatives.
    Cheers.

I don't understand why Malih actually confident that AV-Comparatives will give him the sample set by doing all that. It disturbs me that he is trying to bully AV-C in the name of free software and the benefit of end-users. If he really wants to build a good free AV for the end-users, then he should try to build that reputation like Avira, AVG, and Avast all did, no? Instead of relying a testing party to give out the samples like that... :( AV-C already gave NO as an answer with all the details. Then what Comodo should do is just get into the game by following the rules.

One more thing, doesn't Comodo not believe in AV? I remember reading some of that in their forum.
