Okay, I decided to try Comodo again and noticed that, during installation, it offered to scan the computer for malware, something I haven't noticed in previous installations. I allowed it. Later in the program itself, I noticed that you can "Scan Your System" (open Comodo, click on Defense+) Anyway, has anyone used this as a primary virus scanner? Does anyone know how well it performs,

    Thanks, everyone :)

It's not really a virus scanner, it just scans for malware in the active application (services, .exe) for things that might interfere with the firewall installation.

You can run it manually after installation.

I think he means that you can actually start a scan from within Comodo once it's installed (Open Comodo and go to Defense +)

Yeah, that's great, but i don't really see a purpose once it's installed.

Anyone ever use Ghostwall? I've used it on another laptop, very light on resources: http://www.ghostsecurity.com/ghostwall/

BTW, I'm currently using Webroot Desktop Firewall since I already had spysweeper, still evaluating (it's free now)

As a sidenote, Comodo does have an AV (Comodo Anti-Virus-Spyware) which has been development for years and has been making noticeable improvements. At some point, it may be (more) common to see integration between CAVS and CPF.

Hey guys, I just downloaded and installed Comodo V3. I have a few questions, I have been running some programs and Comodo keeps popping up asking me something. I just say "Allow and remember this action". This will only happen for the first few days until I run most of my programs correct? After it wont be so annoying?

Also, how do I remove the icon from the taskbar tray. I stopped the animation, but cant find how to remove it.

Yes, after a little while it'll stop asking. Or you can just disable D+. Also, you can't disable the icon without killing the program.

I suppose, but time to time I run a manual of my AV.
