It still says XP (SP3). Once I'm assured it will work with SP3 I may upgrade.

I'll be testing this version on laptop (XP SP3) tomorrow. Outpost has been great, but it's a pain to keep updated.

If you can post back here that would be great. I'd try it now but I'm away from home and will be for a bit, so I can't do a restore if need be.

With so many releases in such a short time, I am interested in seeing Comodo offering a list of known-issues.

    cheers ...

So far, so good. No problems today with the new version. I'll post back in a few days after I've run it for a while longer.

Is Comodo better than other free security solutions?

Thanks, I appreciate that and will keep my eyes open.

It's the only free security suite. The FW is ranked in the top (usually #1) and the AV is making great strides. Either can be installed separately, and if I'm not mistaken either can be added through add/remove at a later date.

That said, I've found it's best to thoroughly read the help menu. Here's a new user guide.

Comodo has been stable through several start-ups and extended usage.

After coming from Outpost, Comodo is annoying as heck with its pop-ups. I received a small handful from Outpost (I can only remember 2), but Comodo is FAR more frequent. Oh well, I'm used to it.

I found with CFP 3.5 once you use all your apps, permission pop ups are way less frequent. However, if you're installing a new program you need to switch to installation mode and allow as installer. If you're assure it's a safe program you can also set to training mode when you 1st start using it.

Yeah, that's what I do as well or I switch it to trusted app. Even with all that, I still get tons of pop ups compared to Outpost. Yet, since you're also used to Comodo, it won't be a big deal.
