Guys, my problem is that I cannot install Kaspersky internet security 2011 since there is a conflict with this program called ClamAV. But I can't I find it in the add/remove programs. Then I did a small research that it might be connected with my immunet protect, so I removed immunet but still even after restarting the pc. Kaspersky installation tells me to remove ClamAV. So I even tried downloading the ClamAV installer then uninstall it but still problem persists.

I tried deleting the registry folders and keys of the immunet program. Damn I did windows search and can't find a file ClamAV.

Please help me. I am running Windows XP

I tried both in safe mode but I can't find clam AV. How can I remove this clam av file, I can't find it in the registry. I already uninstalled immunet/clam AV, how come kasperksy still detects it.

download the windows uninstaller cleanup tool, install it, run it, and see if immuno or clamwin are in there.

    Clam AV, hm ...

Ok ... what you might want to try is to open up the Windows Task Manager by pressing CTRL, SHIFT, ESC buttons at the same time.

Go to the processes tab and click on 'Show Processes from all users'.
See if you can track down Clam AV.
If you can, then left click on it once and then click on 'End Process'.

If you see the process as gone from the processes list, you can now try to install Kapersky Internet Security 2011.

Although, I would personally recommend you don't use Kapersky.
It's going to bog down your system severely, and it's a paid program.

    Stick with Microsoft Security Essentials.

As for clam AV ... I recommend you remove it since it's unnecessary to have it running with MSE (Which is more than adequate).

You can try re-installing clam AV and then if the installation offers to remove it, then do so.
If not, just re-install it, and then try to remove it using Add-Remove programs option.
