This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Bootstrap.exe/MBAM false positive??

    I downloaded inSSIDer from the Metageeks website
    and when installing, Malwarebytes catches Bootstrap.exe and says it's a trojan.

    This is on Windows XP. I've installed this on vista before with no problems, and that same comp also had MBAM so I wanted to post up and be sure what was going on.

    Is this safe to ignore? Thanks in advance.

    post an md5 checksum of the file

    AFAIK, there's no Windows native checksum reader. There's no md5 value on the Majorgeeks website anyway so I don't have anything to check it against.
