    Best DVD Player For Notebook

    I have one friend use Dell 1501, actually he has DVD player in the notebook. But 1 week before, the virus goto inside his notebook, then he send to one notebook shop to clean the virus (because the antivirus what he has, cannot clean the virus, Avira Antivir). After his notebook clean of the virus, he cant use DVD player program, Windows media player to watching DVD. And i try to install real player inside, but still cant, the program say "need video plug-in"
    Maybe anyone know what my friend notebook problems? and what DVD program i must use???

    His Dell should come with a DVD player program. He needs to install this program so that the decoder will be installed on the machine. After he installs the program, he can use any program, WMP included to watch DVD movies.

    Otherwise he can search for the decoder online, but last time I check, it is illegal here where I live. So I can't advise you on that.

    VLC for all your video needs

    Also media player classic with the CC codec pack or K-Lite mega codec pack for the occasional disc that won't play (but that's more to do with me buying many multi-region discs)
