Both are free and I heard good things about Avira, but I have been using AVG for last couple of years and find it an excellent product. Which do you think is better?

If you find it to be excellent - stick with it.

If curiosity has got the better of you, try Avira.

AVG uses abit more resources because its not just an anti-virus. It also has protection for Spyware, Emails and Office.

Avira, ever since version 8, AVG's turned into a piece of crap, reliability wise.
