This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    How to disable Avira Launcher
    -------------------------------
    In order to disable/uninstall Avira Launcher you have to:
    1) - Disable the "Avira.SystrayStartTrigger.exe" in msconfig or
    Disable the "Avira.SystrayStartTrigger.exe" via Autoruns

    2) - Stop the service: Open task manager and kill the "Avira.ServiceHost.exe."

    then you can go to "Control Panel, Programs and Features" and uninstall Avira Launcher.

    Note:
    The following workaround NOT WORKS (next day launcher installs once again)

    How to uninstall Avira Launcher
    -------------------------------
    To be able to uninstall Avira Launcher you have to:
    - Stop the system tray. Open Task Manager and end "Avira.Systray.exe"
    - Stop the service. Open administrative tolls, Services and Stop the "Avira.ServiceHost.exe."
    - Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features and uninstall Avira Launcher.
    -----------------------

    If above not works, try the following:

    In order to disable Avira Launcher you have to:
    1) - Disable the "Avira.SystrayStartTrigger.exe" in msconfig or
    Disable the "Avira.SystrayStartTrigger.exe" via Autoruns

    2) - Stop the services:
