I have not turned my laptop on since last thursday, because of this my Avira Antiviri Antivirus is not current and will not update.
It hangs on updating while trying to connect then it eventually times out and closes the updater.
My internet connection is working. I have tried turning off the firewall (Comodo) and the Antispyware (A2) but it did not help.
Is anyone else having an issue with Avira?

    Thanks

Yeah, mine's doing the same thing right now. I did successfully update yesterday though. I'm guessing it's just a temporary problem that should be fixed soon.

I was finally able to update tonight.
I did a little more checking on Avira's site. They released a big update today and the servers are maxed out. It should return to normal soon.

you can manually update the definitions by downloading it from softpedia.
