Is it an AVG plugin that works with MediaMonkey? I've never heard of that.

However, I would recommend AVG. It seems to be a capable AV program from my 2-3 years of using it. It does have some problems automatically updating, though, and the UI is bloated and annoying.

You have to try all the freebies...

AVG for me was brilliant at one time. Hated V8.0
Tried AVAST .Better than AVG. But not the ultimate free Anti - Virus.

Avira is so far the quickest in use and the lowest on resources.

Avira rocks...but sometimes you have to make choices for it. Otherwise the virus stays in your system.

The "Autorun" virus comes to mind.

I am sure Baserk will pop in here sometime. He is NBR's resident virus specialist and offer "better or more advice" than I can

    Cheers,
    Theo

    Haven't tried this version (released 01-29-09) yet, so I'm not sure what's better except what AVG states;
" Version 8.0.233 includes wide array of bug fixes and improvements, included a revamped UI that allows easier management via keyboard."
    (There you are, Bog ;))

MediaMonkey Standard 3.0.7.1191 (released 02-02-09) is the newest version.
I guess the Cnet email didn't mean these new versions are somehow related.

Still, based on detection and removal rates, I'd choose Avira>Avast>AVG.
Mediamonkey is nice (although old version had a horrible GUI) :)
    Cheers.

regarding the OP, it's two separate things...

and regarding the GUI changes, it should be also easier now to manage the sw with various screenreaders... however, i don't seem to be able to stop a running test via keyboard (and my eyes still can see pretty well). have i missed anything?
