So, recently I have been running into a problem with my Kaspersky.

Whenever I download something from Firefox, it always goes to my downloads folder. When the file is down downloading, I right click, and go to file then scan it with Kaspersky. For some reason it seems that Kaspersky scanner crashes a lot now whenever I do this.

Its really odd and I do not know what is up. I even put in the CD and did a "repair" on it but still the same problem is happening.

This constant crash has got me so paranoid.

I am going to try to reinstall Kaspersky and see if that solves my problem. Was just wondering if this problem is happening to anyone else?

Im on Home Premium 32 bit btw.

Does it work on other files?

What do you mean? It eventually works on all files. But for some reason, if I "do it took quickly" it will crash.

What I mean to say is, that if I browse to the file from the FF download window and scan the file quickly, Kaspersky crashes. Its really odd.

regarding I even put in the CD and did a "repair" ... on a cd, an older version is usually available, did you try to repair with a fresh installation package? i'm not sure about Kaspersky, but in general new installators are released quite often, with lots of fixed bugs. it should be available at their website.

in case that it is not that case... maybe it would be worth of checking the disk integrity. if the disk is okay, then maybe try asking anyone using the same version if the behavior is the same for them...

actually, can you contact their techsupport to find out what's wrong? i mean, antiviruses usually create tons of log and by analysing them, they should be able to find out what's wrong.
