    Hi guys,

I saw the thread for anti-spyware, but I wanted to check out what you guys recommend for the SXPS 16. I'm looking for something that doesn't use a lot of resources. I'm using Avast for antivirus.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I don't have the XPS 1640, but the 1530 and I use Avira AV.. :D
It's not a resource hog for me, and works just fine..
and, if I do get the SXPS I would use Avira on it also! :D

Avira here as well. Yet to find a really great anti spyware program. Used to use AdAware, but it's going downhill.

You can try Threatfire. Highly recommended. Its only for 32-bit though.

Symantec is a good one, but the best I would have to say is Trend Micro Antivirus... will not affect programs as it takes very little computer performance to use, I have never had an infection.... its just fantastic

avast AV with super anti spyware, and a2 anti malware too. i also have a pair of rootkit finders/removers as well. im paranoid like that.

Also, you MAY want to consider sandboxie, and run your web browser sandboxed. malware is a lot easier to handle if it never gets on your puter to begin with....
