This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    using it now, very snappy web browsing I must say, thanks to the ads being filtered on the DNS level.

    Think of this as an extra layer of protection in addition to your AV and Ad Blocker (such as ABP)

    Already using bitdefender + adguard plugin + now this DNS blocker. Although i've never had a virus in the past 8 years, being proactive doesn't hurt. Mostly though, I think safe browsing habits and a keen eye on deciphering suspicious links goes a long, long way.
