    AVG Free 8.5 Won't Uninstall!!!

    I can't uninstall AVG Free 8.5, I've run the uninstaller multiple times and after that failed I tried using a utility called AVG Remover and that also failed. I'm about to delete the program files folder for AVG but that's gonna leave a messy registry. Anyone know why this is occurring?

    I'veno idea why this happened but I'd download AVG again, install it/use it to repair the current install and then use AVG Remover again, if you want to give it a try that is.
    Don't mind me asking but did you use the proper 32/64 bit version of AVG Remover?

    I had to run the uninstaller as an adminstrator, stupid Vista or maybe stupid me! :p

    Forgot to come in here and say I solved it after I figured it out 5min after I made this thread.

    It sounds like a virus my friend. I suggest a full format of your harddrive and reinstall OS!
