This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I never believed in lifetime VPNs, is it actually good? how are the speeds?

    For me it's working just fine for more than 2 years now. Speeds depends on server location, UK servers the speed up to 100Mbps, average 85Mbps. I can even gaming online.

    I switched from TorGuard to Surfshark. While its client is not as feature-rich, it's far and away the fastest VPN I've ever used. My official ISP tier is 200/10, but my usual speeds are closer to 250/12. These are my results when connected to the VPN.

    NordVPN also supports WireGuard, but they tweaked it to resolve the potential privacy issues that can occur.
