Hey everyone. Haven't been back here in a while. I have a question. My friend's AIM looks like it has been infested with a trojan or a virus. She accidentally clicked one of those links that probably said something like "my.screenname.aol.com" and now its been sending this same link to everyone else on her buddy list. Now she tells me she can't change her password anymore and the recovery function doesn't seem to work. Any suggestion and help?

Re-install. And try downloading something like superantispyware to clean the system out.

Have you concidered telling her to use Trillian or some other alternate client? Those tend to be less suceptable to these sorts of things.
