    64bit antivirus and anti spyware?

    anyone know free or affordable antivirus and antispyware software for 64bit windows vista?

    my usual favorite is Avira+threatfire but avira on 64bit is kinda slow and threatfire doesnt work at all.

    im looking for active and constant protection, not something that i have to run everyday to scan.

    Almost all existing AV's support 64-bit Vista. Avira free works fine for me in Windows 7 64-bit and Vista 64-bit.

    how about anti spyware? maybe its just a placebo on me that avira is faster in 32bit than 64bit. lol

    Windows Defender should do the job. Super Antispyware, Malwarebytes Antimalware would be worth considering.

    Windows Defender? Seriously? :confused:

    You can have that thing scan your computer, itll say its fine, when it has tons of viruses, spyware, and adware on it.

    the actual anti-virus program doesn't need to be 64 bit in order to monitor your 64 bit operating system.

    I use NOD32 64 Bit Edition, but then you gotta pay for it.

    really norton and NOD? wow they dont bog down systems anymore? id like to pay for an all in one solution that would be around 30$ for a year

    thing with spyware blaster and all the others is they are not active defenders like antiviruses, id like an active defense for protection

    learning alot here :D
