I dunno if anyone has noticed, but after installing Adobe Photoshop, the Bonjour service is added in the registry and services and a file called mDNSResponder.exe is always loaded at startup up which cause malicuous behaviour, so I immediately delete this entry from the registry:

    ##Id_String2.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762##

Then you have to browse to c:\Program Files\Bonjour
and rename the following 2 files from their original name to any other name such as XXX making sure you delete their extension which is .exe and .dll

After windows asks u if u are sure u wanna rename these files answer yes, then reboot, then only u will be able to delete them.

    2) After installing Office 2007, the Machine Debug Manager service is activated and also causes my system to act very very weird/ slow. this is the first thing I have to disable from the services section, wonder if any of you have had any troubles with the above mentioned or not. but if not, just check and see if u have them.

    Running NOD32 v4 FTW here

Yeah, its pretty crappy that Apple has to spam Adobe users with useless software.

Im pretty sure Bonjour is being used for the Render farm crap of CS3 and CS4. I actually don't notice it running at all on my computers. The second one I have no idea about, though.

I wish that you digged in a bit more about Bonjour service and what its intention is among many good software products, i.e Adobe in this case, before flaming Apple with useless comment.

    @OP:
Bonjour service can be nagging, but is has yet to cause any harming exposures to a Mac/Apple environment. So if you feel (or read) that it causes issues within Windows, then pound on the Softwares that use this free utililty and ask them to apply it accordingly.

    cheers ...

I wouldnt call any of those processes virus's... atleast not by the definition of a virus it would be closer to bloatware.

still very harmful in my opinion, machin debugger causes a huge slowdown and is only intended for prgrammers debugging purposes useless for the average user.

and the bonjour service just gives me weird crap everywhere cant even explain

Yeah but thats you out of how many millions of users with no issues?
    Gotta do the math :D

Im not saying you cant make the machine run better by turning them off just that the thread is misleading, these are not virus's.

ok u r right, but by all means trust me, once u turn them off u will notice a huge difference in performance, the thing is, not much people know about them and i notice many many people having them running, they r not complaining i know, but they dont know how much better their system will perform without them running.

For me personally I would not expect any gains I have a quad in both my desktop & laptop and over 4gb of ram in each, I dont see any process taking up any amount of resources to ever worry me.

On an older machine with lower specs it may make a bigger difference.

I know this thing as well.
But I don't think it is a harm for the laptop.
I already have fun with it for more than 1 year.
Just put it right there and let it be.
I afraid that if I deleted it, my system may unstable.
