    Hello,

    Question,

Is it possible to have 2 Security programs on one computer/laptop?

    Example Norton/Mcfee or Norton/AV

Second if that is not possible and I don’t believe it is possible to have a Security Program Norton and a another type security/malware program not a full suite

    Example

There is software program on sale called “StrikeForce Technologies GuardedID Keystroke Encryption Software. (not sure if anyone has heard of it if someone has let me know your opinion.

Or say MacAfee and System Mechanic (which isn’t really a Security suite)

Anyway Is it possible to have Norton and that type of program on the same laptop? Computer?

Also has anyone used Fix me Stick Virus Removal Device? Is it any good

    Thanks

Having 2 security programs active and scanning the same files at the same time only brings trouble and system instability AND worst of all, extreme performance hit. Why would you want that anyway? just get a good AV and be done with it and use safe browsing habits like installing an adblocker and not visiting shady sites

The only exception is one could use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro alongside an AV if you setup exclusions for both in the AV and in MBAM so that they won't scan each other. MBAM scans different kinds of threats and processes as well.

Finally, you can run other security stuff such as a Firewall for example as long as it doesn't have HIPS otherwise that may also conflict with your Antivirus although the Windows Firewall is more than enough to be honest.

I used NOD32 Antivirus and that's it, it's very light and has a built in HTTP Scanner so it stops/blocks malicious sites and downloads before they even reach your computer.

What's with the the spaces??? Two A/V like your example will conflict and will not work as each will flag the others and basically the virus will swim right through.. Norton is now bloatware and McAfee is broken since it's code got into the wild so neither are a good to use since one is acting like bloatware and one the source been compromised so neither are good choices.
