A 1 pixel image in an indication of a possible malware infection.

To be safe, need to run a full system scan with at least two virus scanners.

Possible? You, my friend are the master of understatement! This most assuredly IS the very definition of malware.

Actually not really, Creative X-fi sound card has a "background" app (system tray icon) that loves to be 1x1 pixels white at position 0x0 on your screen. Then again Creative software and drivers could be seen as malware, considering how crappy made they are.

I'm sorry but any app that uses a 1x1 pixel icon or screen is malware, period. Even if it does come from a company like Creative. Such arrogance is obscene, it's like the idiot programmers from Adobe and Apple, who think we need a system service that is loaded 24x7 to periodically check for updates for their applications. Hello, every other company has the app "phone home" to check for updates when the app is loaded. All of these sorts of programming tactics should be deplored and the bright light of public knowledge of their existence shown upon them. [climbing down from my soap box...]

    Isn't what I said? :D

I actually did a sentence mistakes.. sorry.. I wanted to say:

Then again, Creative software and drivers could be seen as malware as they are so badly made.

You did, and I was agreeing with you. Or at least TRYING to agree with you, obviously my ham fisted exuberance on this topic got in the way. The "I'm sorry" part was not to show disagreement, but was intended as an exclamation.
