Don't know if anyone else had this problem but my new x460 lost the A and half of the M from the shiny lid about the first week I had it. My lid loudly proclaimed S MSUNG (with half an M). Then the other half of the M went.

I guess that the x360s are the same design, so I suspect I am not alone in this problem.

Rather than attempt to fix it, and since I didn't want to scratch the piano black lid getting the other letters off, I decided to see if a piece of gaffer tape would pull off the S SUNG - it worked perfectly. The Ss took a little more work but they came off with no residue. I think the letters are held on with some kind of epoxy.

So if you have this problem - try tape that won't leave a residue, like gaffer tape.

    :)

Thanks for the tip -- I'll probably do this the minute I get mine anyway -- I like an incognito look ;)

Did doing this leave an indention of the samsung logo? I mean like, depressions or cutouts of where the letters used to be? That might look pretty neat! Can you post a picture?

No residue, no scratches, no dents, nothing - it's like the logo was never there.
