I have delete the SSD and HD of S7 to install a clean Win7. Unfortunatelly, the SSD cannot work anymore. I have tried many methods to fix this problem. The following maybe the most possible way!
    1. goto the expresscache setup folder -- C:\Program Files\Diskeeper Corporation\ExpressCache.
    2. use the dos CMD to run the ECCmd.
    3. we can see that the ECCMD has many orders, including PARTITON, FORMAT.
    4. when I try to run any orders of ECCmd, it reports the following error: HFS Volume is not mounted.
    5. So I format the SSD disk to HFS+ format, because the HFS format cannot support a disk bigger than 2G.
but after this, the ECCmd still reports the same error.
I believe that the ECCmd can fix this issue, only if we can find a proper format for SSD disk.

Dont try to format it mannually. Go to CMD prompt (you can even do this with recovery tools of the Win 7 cd) and write these:
    - DISKPART
    - LIST DISK (check which one is your iSSD, probably disk 0)
    - SELECT DISK 0 (if iSSD is 0, if not, then it must be disk 1) YOU HAVE TO BE EXTREMELY CAREFULL WITH THESE COMMANDS, YOU HAVE TO BE SURE WHICH IS ISSD (CHECK IN SIZE PARAMETERS). YOU MAY ACCIDENTELY ERASE HDD IF WRONG DISK IS SELECTED.
    - CLEAN
    - CONVERT MBR (if you're going to use EXPRESS CACHE IN WINDOWS 7) or CONVERT GPT (IF YOU'RE USING WINDOWS 8) - even if you want to install windows 8, I would convert to MBR and see if it installs express chache. GPT will be converted automaticaly if you install RAPID START version 2.0

at this point, you can try to install EXPRESS CACHE.

    - if it doesn't work, then:

    - CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
    - SET ID=AF (this only aplies if you've selected MBR, in CONVERT TO MBR; if you've selected GPT its not this command, have to search a bit more)

And that's it, you have your iSSD formated correctly. Both express cache and IRST drivers format the iSSD in HFS, so you don't have to worry about that.

The "CLEAN" command worked fine? No problem?
Then try CONVERT MBR. If it works, then:
    - CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
    - SET ID=AF

When you install (if you install) rapid start, windows will change it to GPT if it needs, so don't worry about GPT.

If the "CONVERT MBR" also doesn't work, go to "disk management" (you can go there selecting "RUN" and write diskmgmt.msc

Then, the iSSD drive should be there. Right click on the DISK #, and see if it has a "convert mbr/gpt command", or "initialize" command. Try them, and then creat a volume. If even that don't work, I guess then you may have an malfunctioning iSSD. Better return it for repair...
From what I've read, I think some of these iSSD's units were defective. It my be your case...

    @Mata_Ratos

Previously I don't know if they are must running on GPT. So, I that do simply disabled the EC on Easy Settings and reboot. That iSSD still on MBR partition.
After the reboot the boot screen take long time to enter the desktop login. Then I have check them in Disk Management and found iSSD need initialized.
So, Are they has broken itself or they can be repaired ? Can you help me ?

    Thanks.

I have some trouble understanding what you mean, but in disk management, if it says the iSSD needs to be initialized, you can do that manually, there's a button there to "Initialize", I think... THen, you can format it in GPT. Then, install EC.
And when you disable EC in Settings, and reboot, you can go in Disk Management, select the Hibernate partition, right click, erase; select the EC partition, right click, erase; and then, on the left, right on the Disk # letters, make right click, and you'll have the option to convert to GPT active.

    Hello Guys,

I have an issue on my NP530U ultrabook.
When I try to launch diskpart, I see the iSSD with only 16KB instead of 20GB.
Is there a solution (in BIOS settings or in recovery) to restore the iSSD storage size ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best Regards
    Djayjay35

You also have the option of using a linux live cd with disk utils and similar tools, and check your iSSD from there before making any changes.(you can mount the iSSD in read only mode). I had that same model, NP530U4C-s01. The issue with the iSSD drive is that is soldered to the motherboard, and it can't be disabled from BIOS or any other tool. If that drive has hardware problems, the whole system becomes useless, I can assure you this. Samsung replaced my motherboard for this reason (SMART problems in the iSSD drive-> the system needed nearly 30 minutes to boot from any drive or any operating system, because it always tries to check the iSSD during POST while booting: it doesn't matter if your booting from the HDD, another SSD, a USB, windows, linux...they all always try to check the motherboard during booting proccess, and that includes the soldered iSSD drive)
