Hi, I'm really enjoying my new notebook 9 pro. I upgraded the ssd to a 1tb sandisk m.2 drive. The cloan didn't work so I had to do a clean install of win10 on the new ssd. So, here's my question. Do I need any of the samsung software that came with my system? All ports etc seem to be working fine, although I don't have a usb 3.1 drive to try.
    Thanks Jeff

You want to install at the very least the Samsung Settings program, which provides Samsung specific hardware support for Fn-keys, keyboard backlight, power management and quick toggling of some BIOS features, such as USB charging and Fast BIOS Boot (on older models also toggles for Battery Life Extender, ExpressCache).

Also check in Device Manager if any devices are listed without drivers. If so, you want to add those drivers.

All Samsung drivers and software are downloaded and installed using the utility SW Update (also known as Samsung Update). It is the first link in the our Samsung Forum Sticky list (on top of the Samsung forum).

It might also be necessary to use Samsung's own version of the graphics driver to get the Fn key display brightness control to work properly. This was the case with the older Samsung notebooks but they may have changed it on the newer models.
