Hi all, I am very close to buying a laptop for college and I kinda fell in love with the Alienware M14x. Long story short, it is not a great idea for my needs. Then I found this beautiful system at BestBuy but it didn't have a good graphics card. I found this model that would be perfect for me but it has windows 7 pro, which I do not want/need. Is it possible to buy this model of computer without windows 7 pro?

Any help would be great. Thank you! Also, is this a good computer for entertainment and college?

Oh sweet, it has the HP OS as well. So the only real difference is 2gb of RAM. If I buy the 6gb version, is the RAM messed up because it is not 4gb or 8gb? I don't need 8gb of RAM at all, but I want the ram to work properly and I have heard things about dual channel. I also don't mind not getting it at Bestbuy if it means a better system, but it is just easier if it is fine.

Yeah, I'm getting this one probably. Thanks a lot.

Most of the benefits of dual channel will be there as long as you have two RAM modules. See my table in this post. I run 6GB by choice (more RAM results in longer hibernation / resume times and, while I need more than 4GB I don't need 8GB).
