I recently bought the Samsung series 7 gamer and was loving it until the touch keys stopped working. It's almost as if the volume down side is stuck as it shows the volume meter on the screen constantly, and the volume up side has no effect. I can raise the volume using the mixer but as soon as I drag the fader up it drops down to 0. Also the mute, wireless and led on/off keys don't work either.
    Please help if you can!

Is it related to the modeshift problem discussed here?

I'm not sure it is. The problem occurs in all the modes and also the screen keeps blacking out now. I'm gutted. Samsung I hope your looking!

I don't know the details of this model, but one suggestion would be to reinstall (Easy) Settings. The Fn key driver is included in that package and your touch keys may use the same driver.

I would further note that, if you are running Windows 7, there is a Version 2 of Easy Settings included in the Windows 8 Settings installer package but is not offered as a download for Windows 7 notebooks.
