Best buy recently started selling asus notebooks as well.

Its possible samsung notebooks will only be for sale in best buy for a while in the us. This is because it is a retail chain that is also a computer service chain. They can offer warranties on a samsung computer which samsung cannot because they dont have a north american rma.

Sometime probably this year most if not all the samsung notebooks will be for sale in the us.

This is my logic based on the fact that they can so why wouldnt they lol

Samsung have been expanding their notebook range over the past year and put on a good show at CeBIT. This would make sense if it was part of a stragic plan to move into North America.

Which next, Q35, or its successor, the Q45? Also the R70 which was shown at CeBIT? It would make sense to start with new models rather than bring in some existing products.

We shall see, in the fullness of time.

Just to be clear, do you just mean the Samsung Q1 UMPC?

If so, they have been carrying it for quite a while, I think (I remember them being in stores last year).

Are you sure? I'm pretty sure I've seen that show up on the bestbuy.com site for quite a while as well (at least as long as they've been carrying it in stores). I think since the Q1 first became available for sale in the US.

Well, if it was on the best buy site in the past,
    It wasnt under notebooks.
Its possible lol that it was just moved.

But Ill ask you, was samsung q1 for sale in best buy in 2006?

Where did Brian get the Q1 that he reviewed here?

    John

PS: And the ads linked to that review suggest that the Q1 is available from several outlets, including Dell (does that torpedo our excitement?).

hmmm.... well then I guess all I had to report was that there was a samsung notebook section on the best buy site now.

It must mean theres no news at all lol. But I still suspect something is upcoming.
