I just got the np550p7c and I'm finding everytime I restart/power on, the Touchpad settings go back to default. I find it particularly annoying that the side & horizontal scroll options reset to "off". I'm using the 2 finger gesture to scroll, but I'd like to be able to use the scroll feature at the side of the Touchpad.

I'm using the software that came with it - Synaptics v 7.5

    Any ideas appreciated.

    Nik.

I am not a fan of touchpads, i use a mouse, but i opened the Synaptics v 7.5 in the control panel and un-ticked 3 finger mouse scrolling and then re-booted, it stayed un-ticked after the boot.

Have you tried re-installing the touchpad software.

Thanks for the reply - Ok. I thought about that. I went to the Synaptics site and the latest driver is v.15.2.20 - I have V.15.3.40.0 (ie Newer). I looked around and found what looks to be an Acer specific driver, V.16. I looked on Samsung`s site and they don`t offer a Samsung specific driver. Should I try installing the older Synaptics driver, or the newer Acer specific driver? (and now I just noticed when I press the ? button, I get é instead! But not if I`m in MS WORD - it works fine!! Haha - sorry - it`s my first Laptop) Any more ideas on these (now) two issues?
