ok its been months since i ve done the bios update and it didn't go well. the pc overheats and the fan doesn't start , i know its the bios because before it never did those things. current bios is p09ral. i checked the forums on how to make rollback but i don't know what version was the previous one , its something p07 ,look for it on google couldn't find anything. tried following Samsung rollback guide in forums but winflash gave me error message (warning security mechanism not supported .please get correct capsule) i think its because im using same bios. so can anyone help me with my bios problem.i contacted samsung but they just wanted me to send the pc and their tech place is to far.

    current bios : P09RAL

    BIOS PACKAGE N0. ITEM_20131119_21274_WIN_P09RAL
    USING WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE.

Your best bet here is someone with a similar laptop that actually saved their Bios as a downloaded .exe first onn an older update. If you only did the one update then in your local cache only the newest bios files may exist.

Does anyone else with the latest bios have your issues as well? You may also need to go to bios settings and use restore system defaults. This can be an issue sometimes.

First try resetting the BIOS to defaults and the re-install Easy Settings (note that Easy Settings version 2 is available in the Windows 8 Settings installation package).

If those measures don't fix the problem then read this thread. The cache of the BIOS list in the first post includes ITEM_20120822_632_WIN_P00RAL.exe, ITEM_20120928_721_WIN_P02RAL.exe and ITEM_20121016_744_WIN_P03RAL.exe. However, you will need to use the BIOSfinder program that was posted here to track down P07RAL. Read the comments in the thread about the jumps in the sequence numbering and you have about a one year date range to search so that is a lot of combinations to try and will take time, but can be done.

Also with the old bios versions remember to reset bios defaults as well.

thank you for your help . i did try to rollback the bios but it still gave me same error security mechanism.
so i just went and reset bios defaults and the fan started spinning , weird thing is that i did it before and nothing happened , maybe i forgot to save . but thank you , in the end i didnt need to install the previous bios.

    thank you again
