    I purchased the wrong model of the chronos 7 and am stuck with the radeon 6490m and would like to mod the laptop to have a different video card(chip) i have looked at a few of the disassembly pictures and am curious if it is possible to detach the 6490m and replace with something more powerful if so what recommendations does anyone have?

    never say never I am thinking of undoing the soldering and replacing the chip that way

    Even if you can unsolder the video card, finding one that will fit and work in its place is very slim and not to mention expensive.

    I could but this is the first one I found at the vendor and they are not refilling the model with the 6750M, is the architecture not similar to the 6490M
