    led backlight not working on r580

    My daughter spilt some drink on my laptop and it died, it is all dried out and everything seems to work except the led backlight on the screen. Have checked out the board on the back of the screen and there seems to be a voltage to the led backlight plug and all the fuses are ok. Not sure what to do, could it be a motherboard fault or is it worth buying a new screen?
