Hello, long time lurker coming out of the woodwork. I was going to use a variation of my first name, but I figured there are enough Johns around here already!

I have only recently realised how brilliant XBMC is for media playback, but my Eee PC 900's Celeron wasn't up to the task of playing my 720p .mkv rips on the move.

Does anyone have any experience of using XBMC on the Atom based laptops (and in particular the NC10, which I am quite interested in) for HD playback?

I have been looking at the Q210 as well because of its relative portability. I'm pretty certain that it would run XBMC like a dream, but it would be a considerable outlay compared to the netbook, even for the lower spec versions.

Any advice on how the NC10 fares with HD playback generally would be appreciated. I got 720p to just about run using KMPlayer on the Eee 900, so I presume the same program would run it better on the Atom. If it runs well inside XBMC though, it would be a terrific bonus.
