    Hi guys

I managed to acquire a 6 month old Q310 and I'm very happy with it. At the moment its running Vista but I am hoping to install Windows 7 in the next couple of days, just waiting for delivery.

I just wanted to ask for some advice:

    1) Do I just use the Vista drivers from the Samsung site

    2) Could you point me in the right direction if someone has installed Windows 7 on this laptop

    3) Looking to install the 32-bit version

    Thanks in advance

Most of the drivers install with Windows 7 anyway, except, the Nvidia graphics card driver and Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

    I am trying to! :D

I have the 32Bit version installed and it works with no problems.

The 64Bit one doesnt work due to a BIOS issue.

Any other questions, just let me know!

ok guys thanks for the help read through the 64 bit thread as advised.

Cloned my HDD with Vista on it (just incase), got the latest Nvidia driver but not too clear on the Intel Matrix Storage Manager .

Downloaded all the latest drivers from Samsung website when I did a clean install of Vista if I remember correctly IMSM Intel Driver is the Intel Matrix Storage Manager is that the one Stu.

I also noticed that on the 64 bit thread you asked if you installed Windows 7 32 bit then changed your mind (maybe after bios update) could you install Windows 7 64 bit and use the same key did you find out about that Stu.

I never did find out, as the 64Bit version wouldn't even install, so I never got to the point of inputting the serial number.

Also, I just downloaded the latest Intel Matrix Storage Manager from the intel site, seems to work great.
