I have lot of issues with Windows 10 & Sleep mode

    - When I close the lid and open, only way to wake the laptop is to hard shutdown
    - Laptop never wakes from sleep whenever I it's in the "Sleep" mode (start-> sleep)

    My laptop model is NP530U4C-S01IN

I don't know if it needs any driver update. The laptop came with Windows 7 and I upgraded to 8.1 and now to 10

BTW I'm on insider preview builds. Also reported to MS via Insider Feedback

Anyone else facing these issues? It is so annoying

In my experience Windows and Sleep have been a rocky marriage ever since Windows was invented. In comparison, the Intel Rapid Start Technology which Samsung put on some of its notebooks about 3 years ago was very reliable once one had figured out how to make it work properly but it effectively worked outside of Windows.

Graphics drivers are often a cause of Sleep problems. You may get a clue about what is causing the problem by looking at the System log in Event Viewer. When you say that the computer doesn't wake up, does this mean that no lights come on? Or do light come on but the screen stays black (the most common problem in my experience)?

    Hi John,
it was fine with windows 7 in fact I was so happy with the Samsung. win 8.1 was OK not bad but Win 10 really is insomnia

There are some errors in event log but cannot say which one is the culprit

You can try to copy the log for the time you put the computer to sleep + time you try to wake it up into a text file and post it here in case anyone can interpret it.

You can also try a different graphics driver(s). Do you have Intel only or switchable graphics? First try the update driver option in Device Manager.
